Stephan Haager

Pianist, Composer, Arranger

Stephan Haager is a diverse and accomplished musician. His early classical training intersected with his gigs as a rock & blues musician and spawned an interest in jazz. Work in south Florida led him to studies at the University of Miami where he immersed himself in jazz piano, jazz arranging and film scoring. Stephan’s professional work has included piano & keyboard performance in clubs, musical theater venues and cabaret shows. His original compositions and arrangements include music in jazz and contemporary music styles, including the Latin music film score for “What Really Happened During the Cuban Missile Crisis" seen on Showtime network, music preparation for Babyface (Kenneth Edmonds) and CD’s "Sunday on the Bay”and "Solus Songbook”.

As a pianist Stephan has performed in many jazz-rock and musical theater venues, including The Coconut Grove Playhouse, Dorothy Chandler Concert Hall and on KCET-TV. He has worked with numerous musicians and entertainers, including Anthony Newley, Ralna English, Backhaus Dance Company, Bill Watrous, Sinbad, and Rodney Dangerfield. In addition to performing, Stephan is a composer, jazz arranger and producer. He continues to work on projects involving programming, recording and mixing with the latest versions of Digital Performer and Sibelius.
